[ROM/HAN/PIN/CHI/ENG] Mama (Korean & Chinese) Lyrics - EXO (EXO-K & EXO-M)

Both EXO-K and EXO-M released unique and visually appealing music videos for their new song, “Mama” (both versions shown below photo) that effectively brought out the charms of the members’ voices, dance, and the song. “Mama” contained a powerful melody and was enriched with instrumentals such as violins. This song stood out as the particular feel it give off was slightly different than what was expected of the typical K-pop songs. From the very start of the song, there is an English narration that told of a legend, which appealed to the international audience. The song started with a catchy chant-like verse, that sounded and (in the M/V) looked somewhat like the Druids, before going well into the actual song after one of the members showcased their vocals by belting out a long note. At the climax of the song, an intense dance break broke out, and the melody of the song started to turn  more energetic – much like a punk-rock feel, before it toned back down. And personally, doesn’t the music video remind you of Harry Potter? Haha, well anyways, check out the song and M/Vs below!

The divine/twelve forces divided into two and created two suns that look alike into two worlds that seem alike. The legends traveled apart. The legends shall now see the same sky but must stand on different grounds. They shall stand on the same ground but shall see different skies. The day the grounds be kept a single file before one sky in two words that seem alike, the legends will meet greet each other. The day the red forces purify and the twelve forces will reunite into one perfect root… a new world shall open up.
